DescriptionTake the next step in your career and job the DMS Management Solutions team today as our new Staff Accountant! DMS Management Solutions is a growing accounting firm that specializes in helping small to medium sized business with a wide array of business services.
The desired candidate will assist in bookkeeping activities for selected clients.
This individual may work directly with our clients, or work in conjunction with the Accounting Manager assigned to help that client.
The qualified candidate MUST enjoy working across a variety of assignments and appreciate the satisfaction of assisting multiple business owners and their companies.
Perform general bookkeeping on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis, process payroll and bank reconciliations primarily utilizing QuickBooks software.
There may be a need to learn other software applications used by clients.
Enter journal entries and reconcile General Ledger accounts using accrual basis accounting methodology.
Process bank deposits, wire transfers, and ACH activity.
Assist with collection of past-due Accounts Receivables.
Prepare and present client invoices, apply cash receipts, enter vendor invoices and pay bills as necessary.
The candidate may also assist in marketing to prospective new clients.
Excellent communication skills are desired.
Exceptional client satisfaction is the standard at DMS and must be maintained and enhanced by this key position.
RequirementsAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related required, Bachelor's degree preferredThree (3) or more years of relevant experience are preferred.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products is necessary.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Ability to adjust to a flexible working environment and consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently.
