Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is searching for a Sales Counselor for its assisted living community, Devon Oaks, located in Westlake near Crocker Park.
The primary role of this Full time position is to manage the sales process and initiatives in support of Devon Oaks strategy and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the marketing and sales process for Devon Oaks; maintain census in conjunction with sales goals and objectives. Coordinate the admissions process for new residents (ie: admissions paperwork with the prospect and/or family, coordinate history and physical assessment from physicians, update prospect and new resident demographic information in sales and admissions database to ensure information is accurate and complete). Act as a representative of Devon Oaks to the community via interactions with other healthcare organizations, professional influencers, senior centers, and families. 70 to 80 percent of time will be devoted to outside sales developing leads and potential admissions. Supervise reception staff: hire, train, schedule, monitor and assure performance, maintain positive employee relations and promote teamwork. Continuously develop referrals leading to potential new business. Accurately manage, analyze, and update sales database; Develop action steps for including but not limited to follow up phone calls, mailings, etc. Engage and prequalify potential new residents and their representatives via phone calls, home visits, tours of the facility, and family meetings. Manage waitlist by collaborating with other departments to maintain reserved prospects until a unit becomes available. Maintain positive relations with current residents/families and staff; trouble shoot current resident issues; coach all staff about their role in the sales process. Serve as a liaison among families, staff, and the Sales Team to assure customer satisfaction. Participate in and support health fairs and other sales and/or marketing events; maintain memberships and participate in various professional organizations (ie rotary clubs and chambers). Work closely with Executive Director, Director, Sales Operations, Activities Director and Director of Nursing regarding assessment and status of potential new residents. Interact with Network Sales Team to generate ideas, information and referrals. Work closely with other Eliza Jennings campuses developing relationships and partnerships leading to increased business. Meet with prospects and host events. Participate in and promote SAIDO Learning; demonstrate continuous support, including but not limited to providing input for resident goals, transporting Learners to/from sessions, conducting SAIDO sessions, leading opportunities of engagement, and participating in monthly meetings; encourage residents to develop to their full potential.
Degree in business, marketing or communications with healthcare emphasis or equivalent experience. In-depth understanding of business, customer service, sales and database management. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations. Leadership skills:
selection, hiring, training, coaching, team building, decision making and problem solving skills. In-depth communication skills:
demonstrated ability to present material orally and in writing in an articulate and concise manner; demonstrated ability to listen and process others' points of view. In-depth emotional intelligence:
behavioral maturity, demonstrated trust and integrity, high ethical standards, demonstrated self-awareness and accurate self-assessment; demonstrated ability to prevent, reduce, and resolve conflict; sensitivity and empathy, openness, reliability and consistency. Computer proficiency with understanding of business, professional and industry related applications. Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close business, recognize alternatives, and evaluate relevant information for making timely decisions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with demanding timeframes; strong organizational skills. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 10 lbs. Moderate to frequent travel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
