The Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of the network by planning, designing, and developing LANs and WANs across the organization.
Take a lead role in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.
Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Provide end user training where required.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, and processes.
Develop roadmaps, implement and maintain policies and procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recoveryDesign and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless bridges, and wireless access pointsOversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgradesProactively monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as neededEnsure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and other network devicesPractice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications informationMonitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reportsParticipate in managing all network security solutions Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent practical experienceAt least 5 years of related experience; 7+ years preferredCCNA or CCNP preferredWillingness and availability to be on-call during on-call rotationsWillingness to work in a challenging 24x7 retail environment with hundreds of stores and thousands of network devicesExperience adhering to PCI Compliance guidelinesProven experience and success with LAN, WAN, security, and wireless design and implementationProven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practicesStrong, hands-on technical knowledge of network, including Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus OSIndustry-standard best practices for routing, switching, wireless, and securityL3 concepts and protocolsL2 switching concepts Datacenter Configuration and Management Managing, Monitoring, and Testing a Disaster Recovery Datacenter network.
Advanced configurations such as QoS, Multicast, and SLA Monitors.
